Overview
Some have noticed that the results from a Budget Query in Finance SSB-9 can appear strange. An example is:
where the totals appear in parentheses implying they are negative.
However if you click the down arrow at the upper left of this snippet (circled above), you will see:
Which clarifies. The top image is showing the Report Total (of all records) which, when you subtract expenditures from revenue when there is no revenue, it will be negative.
To cure this, when you create the query, look for the Include Revenue Accounts checkbox:
and uncheck it. Now it will not include revenues and show the expenditures as positive.
