While it currently isn't against Harding policy, we'd suggest that you refrain from monetizing YouTube and other advertising through your Harding account. Instead, if it's personal business, use a personal account.
Some of the reasons are:
- Some vendors, for example AdSense, are harder to work with when it is not a personal account but a Google Workspace for Education account.
- Because of Google's change in storage policy and newer, more restrictive, security guidelines, most Harding email accounts will be deleted 9 months after the last day of attendance or employment.
If what you envision is for university business, please work with University Communications and Marketing. They have guidelines regarding this, and they can work with you (and IS&T) to assure that the material is attached to a university account instead of your personal account.
