This page will provide all steps needed to send a fax from Google Mail.

Sending a Fax from Google mail

1. Create a new email

2. In the recipients field (To), enter:

fax@harding.edu

 

3. Enter the recipient's fax number (full 10 digit number including area code) in the subject line (e.g. 5012794600), and type the message as you would do for any email. 

 Note: Plain Text, HTML formats and embedded images are supported in the message body for outgoing faxes. 

4. Add attachments that will constitute the pages of the fax

  • Attachments can be numerous types of documents like MS Office files, TXT, RTF, PDF, JPG or TIF.

5. Send the fax as you would send any email. 

6. The Fax is sent and the sender should receive an email notification that it was sent successfully. 

7. All Faxes will appear as completely normal faxed documents on the receiving end, and the receiver will have no idea you did not send your fax from a standard fax machine.
