Overview

The Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication protocol allows you to use a "security key" as the 2nd factor. 

Your options to acquire a Yubikey security key to use as a 2nd factor are:

  1. IS&T can charge one to your budget.  Use this link to provide the needed information.
  2. You can buy one yourself.  Here are the Yubikey tokens we allow and have tested.
    1. Security Key NFC: https://www.yubico.com/product/security-key-nfc-by-yubico/  Cost is $24.50.  Choose this if you have a USB A port on your computer and only want to use the security key for Harding applications.
    2. Yubikey 5 NFC: https://www.yubico.com/product/yubikey-5-nfc/  Cost is $45.  Choose this if you have a USB A port on your comptuer and want to use the security key for other purposes as well
    3. Yubikey 5C: https://www.yubico.com/product/yubikey-5c/  Cost is $50.  Choose this if you have a USB C port on your computer OR you choose not to use the Microsoft Authenticator and want to login to Harding applications on your smartphone.
