Things are Moving Along!
Have you noticed how fast the library addition is progressing? The construction is well underway with walls going up, windows being installed, and even some brickwork being done. The plan is to complete the second floor first, as this is where the majority of books will reside. If the construction stays on track, books will start arriving from Memphis by the beginning of April. This will take several weeks as the shelving for the books will be taken down in Memphis and then reassembled here. The estimate is around 4 to 6 weeks to move approximately 140,000 books. The extensive archive collection will be moved last.
