This article is intended to address the confusion about the various email lists.
Colleagues@harding.edu - the long-time "proverbial" list. New employees are added to this list when hired. They are not normally removed unless they request it. There are a number of people who leave or retire and want to remain "in touch" with Harding.
The rest of these lists are controlled by the system automatically. They include
Employees@harding.edu - Current employees as controlled by HR. This will include all employees who are active except student workers and retirees.
Faculty@harding.edu - People whom the Provost has identified in Banner as current faculty. This does not include adjuncts, graduate assistants, or preceptors, but does include those on Leave as identified by the Provost.
Adjuncts@harding.edu - People whom the Provost has identified as an adjunct for the current or most recent term and are assigned to one or more classes for the current or next term
Preceptors@harding.edu -People whom the Provost has identified as a preceptor for the current or most recent term and are assigned to one or more classes for the current or next term
Staff@harding.edu - Most current employees except for those who are faculty or student workers.
For those who are authorized to post to the various groups, messages can either be entered in the Messages section in Pipeline or sent via email to the address listed.
Permission to post to these lists is managed by the CIO (Chief Information Officer).
