Why now?
The website was completely redone back in 2014 with two mild updates to navigation and design sense then. That is a long time in website years. Harding has changed some, but more importantly, the way people search and look for a university has moved on.
Who has been involved?
We started out with a survey that went out to all employees back in August asking for input on the existing site and what needed to change. We then did Listening Tours with a company called VisionPoint to see what different Departments and Offices thought, as well as a Student survey to gather insights into who Harding is and what we need the website to do going forward.
Why this company?
To help us create a better version of our website, we have partnered with VisionPoint, a website company that specializes in Higher Ed. They have worked with the Content Management System we transitioned to last year and have proven to be very good at listening to the University's needs and wants.
Why this design?
We worked back and forth with VisionPoint on refining designs, and they presented these results to a design and programming-focused team at Harding as well as our target audience, possible students. Now we are in the final stages of refining that design.
What’s next?
By February, we’ll have the final design and have shown several around campus so they know what is coming. The goal is to have the design up and running in May and refine it over the summer. The purpose of this entire process is to better serve our prospective students and allow them to see who Harding is.
