Google Shared Drive Permissions

A Google shared drive's permissions can only be changed by a manager of that drive. In order to add, remove, or edit the access level of individuals on a shared drive:

1. Log in to Gmail, select your Google Drive icon from your Gmail waffle menu, and select "Shared Drives."

2. Either

A.Right click on the drive that you want to change, and select "Manage Members."

B. Or if you manage several shared drives, it may be easier to click into the drive, making sure which drive you are editing, and then click manage members on the title bar at the top on the left.

Once selected, a "Manage members" window will pop up with the current members of the drive, their level of access and a box for entering the email of the person you would like to add to the drive.

3. Select inside the box and type in the Harding email address of the member you would like to add to the drive. If they are saved in your contacts, their name may pop up. Click on the name when it pops up or once you have finished typing their email, press enter.

4. Select the level of access you would like to grant from the drop down menus, check the "notify people" box, type a message (optional), and click send.
