NOTE: After running this for the May Graduation, update the ACYR parameter in the GenerationHU Argos reports by bumping the year up one to maintain the 10 year GenerationHU grouping.
These jobs should be run after each graduation and all degrees are recorded, and once each semester to handle students who didn't return to school but did not graduate.
NOTE: Even though there is no longer a Summer graduation. Summer degree records are Awarded sometime in August, so this process needs to run then as well.
GRADUATES - ALUM
After May graduation (Jun/July); December graduation (Jan/Feb) get ok, from Registrar’s office, that all graduation records are updated to awarded (AW) in SHADEGR for all of the graduates and for the May graduation also get the ok from Steve McLeod, in Memphis, for his graduates.
Run APPSTDI in "R" report mode (#21) with the following parameters with the date range adjusted accordingly:
1. Address Priority and Type: 1MA 2FW 3CB 4IA 5BI
2 – 8 Blank
9. Date Range Start for Degree: 01-MAY-2008 (just make sure the graduation date falls
10. Date Range End for Degree : 30-MAY-2008 within this date range, and only 1 graduation)

Verify the report and fix any reported errors, then change report mode to ‘U’ and run for good.
NOTE: There are always a few exceptions of degree records not getting marked AWarded before this process needs to be run and therefore those people won't be brought over. Every year or two run the process using the date range for the entire year (or two) and see if any people show up as needing to be added. That means they were missed the first time this was run after their graduation. If there are some there, this needs to run to bring them over but it only needs to pull them, so I go into SHRDGMR and mark the campus field on their records to a campus code that is not used, like 'ZA' or some other one and then put that in the job parameter and it will only pull them and not update any other records.
Run AZPALUP to update additional information in the Advancement system. Save the final Update report from APPSTDI in the \SHAREALUMNI\APPSTDI folder and verify no errors occurred during the execution of AZPALUP.
Non-Degree Ex-Students - ALND
In September and January, after the last day to add a class and all grades have been entered and rolled (College, Memphis). In September two runs are necessary, one for the Spring term (ex. 200810) and one for the summer term (ex. 200840).

The Academic information we have for non-degreed alumni, on the student side needs to be brought over. All ALUM’s should have a degree record for any and all Harding degree’s that they have. If any are missing it is because we don’t have that information available in the system on either our side or the student side. Most of these are because they are very old students and the data was never entered into the system, when the system’s came along. They are recorded in the Registrar’s archives.
Non-degreed alum’s (ALND) should have a degree record containing the academic information we have on them including College, Academic year, Major and Department. There is no automatic way to update this information after APPSTDI is run for ALND’s. This is because degree records are sequenced (allowing multiples) and people can have previous degrees either from Harding or elsewhere in the degree table at the time this information is updated. The vast majority of ALND’s will be getting their first degree record inserted, so it will be sequence number 1. The exceptions must be handled by running the scripts below as many times as needed to insert degree sequence rows 2,3,4 etc., as needed, where one or more already exists. There really shouldn’t be very many of these, especially beyond 2.
